DRAIN AIR RECEIVERS: this is to remove unwanted water build up, preferably at the end of everyday in summer as the high air humidity creates more water. If the position of the drain valve is difficult to access, Bayteck can install hoses with Ball valves to a convenient position.
LARGE WATER BUILD-UP: don't put up with water in your Airlines as this will cause major damage to Air Tools, Pneumatics, and any Machinery that is sensitive to water. We can alleviate water problems with Equipment and/or System Design.
AIR TOOLS MAINTENANCE: Keep a small bottle of air tool oil handy at tool stations. At the beginning of everyday put 6 drops of tool oil directly into the air tool inlet or alternatively install a Lubricator Service Unit.
SINGLE PHASE AIR COMPRESSORS: If you need to use compressed air more than 2metres from the power source, do not run an electrical extension lead as this will cause electrical damage to the air compressor. A better option is to run a longer air hose from the Air Compressor to where you are working.
AIR LEAKS: One of the largest wasters of Electricity are air leaks, no matter how small. Don't get used to hearing them! If they cannot be fixed immediately, mark them and get them repaired when the plant isn't being used – Bayteck offer a full plant maintenance service.
OIL LEVEL: The Compressor Oil should always be kept to the correct level to reduce the amount of heat build up and avoid seizing the pump. It should also be changed at regular intervals as the viscosity of the Compressor Oil is broken down over time due to heat and contamination.
CLEAN AIR FILTER: One of the most important parts of the Air Compressor to regularly service is the Intake Air Filter Element. If the air that is supplying the pump is not clean, this will effect the performance of the air delivery. It also risks particles being passed through to the Pump which can then cause contamination to the Compressor Oil and accelerate the wear on the mechanical parts of the Air Compressor.
BELT TENSION & VALVE INSPECTION: Regularly checking the belt tension and the Valve Parts will assist with the Compressor running more efficiently and therefore more cost effective with power consumption. If these parts are not operating efficiently then the Compressor will be forced to work harder, and therefore utilising the power supply more than required.
ENVIRONMENTAL POSITIONING: The Positioning of the Air Compressor is also extremely important to assist with allowing the Compressor to be supplied with the cleanest possible air. If the Compressor is positioned where the air is contaminated with Dust Particles, etc, this will lead to the premature replacement of air filters, oil and other mechanical parts.
