Single-phase piston compressors
Most single-phase compressors can easily plug straight into a standard home 10amp wall socket, and are totally portable for use in different locations. Single-phase compressors come in small, compact units, are simple to use, and are cost-effective to maintain. Single-phase compressors are best used in home situations and ideal for low-consumption applications that don’t require high volumes of air. They are not recommended for commercial daily use.
Providing they are run within their capabilities, small single-phase compressors will give trouble-free compressed air for years to come.
Three-phase piston compressors
Three-phase compressors are the ideal solution in environments where compressed air is required on a daily basis, most commonly in workshops, factories and any other commercial environment.
Their larger pumps are built for more constant use than single phase and are your best option to supply compressed air in a commercial application. As there are no electrical capacitors and fewer electrical components, a three-phase compressor is also the best option where power sources are not as constant in supply.
